The Dia de Muertos celebrations continued in Chapala, Ajijic, and San Antonio with ballet folklorico, street of altars, sunset views, and beautiful tributes to the community’s ancestors. A vibrant experience all around!

We welcomed Joe’s brother, Jeff, to Ajijic and had a blast showing him around—boat tours, local food, birthday celebrations, and the No Kings Parade in the plaza. A fun mix of culture, food, and local traditions!

Settling into San Antonio, Lake Chapala, we’re discovering the rhythm of local life—art markets, handmade furniture, and vibrant festivals like the Fiestas de San Francisco. From fireworks and mariachi to authentic community connections, every day brings new experiences that make this place truly feel like home.

Before leaving for San Antonio, Mexico, Joe and I were surrounded by love, laughter, and heartfelt farewells—from farewell parties in Asheville to riverside adventures in Travelers Rest. Leaving friends behind is bittersweet, but we’re excited for new adventures, friendships, and experiences in this next chapter of our lives.
